Beautiful! A lifetime ago, I decided to immerse myself fully in the world of classical music and see what treasures I could find. I didn’t know where it would take me, but I did know one thing at the outset: I knew I would NEVER like Bach. Something about that sour face and powdered wig really repelled me. In my ignorance, I also associated him too heavily with baroque music, which I was also sure I would never like. After two years of complete immersion, discovering so many wonderful composers and compositions, one name stood above them all, for me at least: that’s right, it was friggin’ Bach. I love him, but somehow I had never heard this piece before! Thank you, Chris, for introducing it to me and yes, thank you forever Mr. Bach, you old Scallywag!

As a more recent violin to mandolin convert, it's incredible to see how carefully he's chosen fingerings to maximize tone and sustain. The technical skill and careful thought on display are amazing.

This brings me joy every time I watch it.

You have a good start on this but. dont rush through the easy parts try to keep ot even add vibrato on lower notes! The is bass line should be emphasized more! We all interpret Bach differently keep working! Play the next 4 pages please! ❤🎉🙏

I saw these two in concert; of the thousands of concerts I've seen over my life, this could easily be #1. Two of the world's greatest in their respective instruments together, I knew it when I was listening, this wouldn't be topped.

You've comforted and inspired a lonely gal to get back in the music game and get back to Ireland. I was acutely depressed during my masters degree at Triniry and came back to the States early to be closer to important resources. I was distraught and disappointed and I still need to do a lot of internal work, but I'm confident I'll be able to get back to that beautiful country and live a beautiful life.

A beautiful song bastardised by two fabulous musicians. What is it with you Americans, can't you even sing the whole song because you don't understand the Irish connotations of certain words?? It HAS to be sung in it's entirety to get the passion and gravitas wrung out of the words written by the heartbreaking mind of Shane Mc Gowan. You'll never do it the justice it grandly deserves.

I hope that Aoife and you come to come to Florida again and do a couple more Christmas shows like you did a couple of years ago i saw you in when you guys were in Ocala and you guys did a great job.
